Just a Quick Detail
About the new book, and about Dr. Rob's book: Dr. Rob doesn't use the decimal point in glycemic indices, so his glycemic loads come out 100 times the ones I'm used to. So don't freak out when you read his book, and my book with him, 'kay?

Dr. Rob's GL
My understanding is that he uses the GI based on white bread instead of Glucose, right?
So we divide his GL by 10 to get other's GL, and multiply his GI by.7?
I think I have this right. I'm used to the numbers based on glucose.
I think that's right
I think that's right. Except the whole point is that you don't have to count! Just don't eat starches or drink sugary beverages. I mean, if you're doing the Glycemic Load Diet. If you're doing Atkins or Protein Power or CAD you're not keeping track of glycemic load anyway.
But really -- one of the joys of Dr. Rob's diet is you don't have to keep track of everything. Please, don't complicate what is elegantly simple.
No counting
No counting sounds so good to me. I'm still waiting for his book to see what his position on ff products is.
I really dislike eating HFCS and that is in almost every low fat or ff product.
Dr. Rob and Fat Free Products
I can tell you that Dr. Rob is not a fan of fat restriction, and his program does not call for fat free products at all. So don't sweat it.
