My Heart Is Sore and Sad.

That Nice Boy I Married got up today to discover that Nick the Pug had died overnight. He had been doing so well since his last surgery, full of energy, just tearing around the place. Yesterday he asked to go out and run around the yard at least a dozen times.

But overnight his stoma -- the hole in his throat he was breathing through -- clogged with mucus, and he suffocated. I'm so sad I can barely comprehend it. I keep looking for him everywhere, listening for his clicky little toes on the hardwood floors, waiting for him to come and put his front feet up on my chair, asking to be picked up and cuddled.

He was the most loving creature I've ever known. Never met a stranger, instantly and totally enthusiastic about everything and everyone.

I can barely comprehend that he's gone.

Sorry for your loss

What would our lives be without our fur babies? The happiness they give us for years is matched by the pain we feel when they leave us. I don't feel sad for NIck because I know he had the best life any dog could have with such wonderful human companions as you. As time passes enjoy the wonderful memories you have of Nick. {{{hugs}}}

Pug Baby

My heart goes out to you my precious pug sister. The house gets eerily quiet when one of your babies passes on.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

So Sorry

((Hugs)). I'm so sorry about your furbaby. We lost one a couple years ago and still miss her horribly.

I can hardly believe this sad news

(((HUGggggggggggggssss))) because you need 'em right now. I'm so sorry, Dana. This was just so sad to read about and as I was wiping away tears my son, Daniel, walked in the room and asked me why I was crying, and then I shared the news with him too. :-( I believe dogs go to heaven. Bible says God knows even when a sparrow falls to the ground, so how much more a doggie? May you take comfort in that you know your Nick is no longer suffering.

Blessings,
Jennifer Eloff

Nick

Dana,
I am so sorry, this has been such a hard time lately for you. *Big Hugs* He's at the Rainbow Bridge, running and playing and happy & pain free, and one day you'll join him.
Hugs,
Gracie

Life is NOT a dress rehearsal, enjoy it!

He was loved

At least you know that he knew he was loved. There is a lot to be said for having a life of being loved.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It's a amazing thing how our pets are such a part of our families.
